Charlie Waller Trust art exhibition

We are delighted to welcome you to our inaugural exhibition, bringing together the work of over 100 new and established artists.
The 300 professional exhibits, comprising paintings, sculptures and pottery, will all be available to purchase. The artists are demonstrating their commitment to young people’s mental health by generously donating 50% of proceeds to the Charlie Waller Trust.
This will be invaluable in helping us continue our work: it will enable us to provide expert mental health training and resources to more parents, carers and teachers, giving them the skills and confidence to support young people.
Our exhibition at the prestigious Mall Galleries will run from 19 to 22 March and will be open from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with ticketed events on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 evening.
There is promising evidence that viewing artwork can reduce stress. We warmly invite you to attend our exhibition and take the opportunity to boost your own wellbeing as well as supporting young people’s mental health.
A huge thank you to our sponsors:

Joe will discuss the importance of integrating arts and culture into society to aid mental health and build confidence in individuals. Joe is an art historian, writer and curator at the British Museum in the Japan section. Prior to this, Joe was developing an exhibition project and outreach programme about the soothing power of art in an age dominated by anxiety. Joe collaborated with artists who explore experiences of anxiety, therapy, and community to highlight the diverse responses to external stressors.
Joe is speaking as a guest of the Charlie Waller Trust and his talk will be based on his own personal and professional experience in the arts.

A drawing lesson with Bridget Tempest
10:30 - 11:30
Bridget uses a variety of printmaking techniques which enable the viewer to enter an elusive and interior world of nature. Drawing is the most important factor in her work. Paying attention to Nature’s forms and relationships creates a close connection to the environment and finding that rhythm and harmony through the drawing, we are enriched.
Bridget will talk about her process and support participants as they make their own drawings. Any level of experience is fine! £50 per person to attend.
Only 8 spaces available, please use this link to secure your place.
Both events kindly organised by Lulu Lytle
