Dr Jagdish K Barn
Schools Trainer
Jagdish initially trained as a primary school teacher but became interested in the psychology of human behaviour, specifically attachment and trauma, after encountering dysregulated children in her classroom and feeling ill equipped to offer them the support they needed. Fast forward 30 years later and an eclectic and rewarding career as an educational, child and family psychologist, she can still vividly recall these feelings of helplessness and aims to ease this in school staff through informative, practical and targeted training. Her main area of interest continues to be ACEs, attachment and trauma, especially cultural constructs around emotional distress and therapeutic repair.
