Mental Health Trainer

Ros Rea is a mental health nurse with 30 years’ experience, specialising in eating disorders for nearly her entire career. She has worked across a range of roles within NHS services, including Clinical Manager, Carers Lead, Service Transformation Lead, CAMHS Pathway Lead and FREED Coordinator. 

Alongside her nursing background, Ros is trained in counselling, psychotherapy and systemic family practice. She is passionate about supporting young people, adults and carers, and has extensive experience delivering evidence-based treatments, including the New Maudsley skills-based workshops for carers. 

She now works as a freelance trainer, collaborating with organisations such as the Charlie Waller Trust, Beat (the UK’s eating disorder charity), and the Priory Group. She designs and delivers training for both professionals and carers, and has contributed to innovative AI projects, national training programmes, and e-learning development.
