Dr Sheila Hardy

Sheila currently works with the Charlie Waller Trust as a Primary Care Advisor. This fits round her role as a full-time carer for her husband. She spent 10 years with the charity designing and delivering mental health and wellbeing training for primary care health professionals and physical health training for mental health nurses. She has had research and evaluation posts with universities, academic science networks and healthcare trusts. Sheila worked in a primary care centre for 20 years providing care for people with both physical and mental health problems. She has sat on several national expert reference and steering groups. In 2018 Sheila won an Award of Merit from the Royal College of Nursing for her work on the physical health of people with mental illness.
