A successful summer appeal

21 July 2026

Our summer appeal, held over a week in June, raised an amazing £25,101. Huge thanks to everyone who gave so generously and raised awareness of our crucial work.

Together through the wait

The focus of the appeal was the support we can give to families while they’re on the waiting list for mental health services – hence the name, Together Through The Wait.

Local mental services provided by the NHS carry out important, effective work. However, despite continued investment in services, demand for children’s mental health support continues to rise. In addition, access to support still varies widely, depending on where families live. Many people are left without help for a long time, not knowing where to turn.

For parents and carers, the wait can be heartbreaking. Every day brings uncertainty, worry and the feeling of facing it alone.

Practical strategies

The funds raised through the appeal will help us to reach more parents and carers with practical strategies for supporting young people who are struggling with their mental health. We will provide training and resources they can use straight away, on topics such as self-harm, eating disorders and talking about suicide.

An enormous thank you

Every donation we receive, during appeals and at other times, is extremely important to us. Whatever amount our supporters choose to give, they are making an invaluable contribution to young people's mental health.
