The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025
One donation, twice the impact
During our Big Give Christmas appeal every donation is doubled!
Until 9 December all donations will be matched until we reach our target of £52,000.
Money from the appeal will fund our work with parents, carers, teachers and local communities. We’ll give them skills and confidence to spot problems, open conversations and get children and young people the support they need.
Mental health: starting early, staying well
One in five 8 to 25-year-olds in England have a probable mental health disorder. That’s over 2 million children and young people.
If young people are struggling with their mental health, it’s vital they get help as soon as possible. The appeal will fund our work with parents, carers, teachers and local communities. We’ll give them skills and confidence to spot problems, open conversations and get children and young people the support they need.
Seeing a child in your care struggling with anxiety, depression or other mental health issues is scary. It’s worse if you don’t know how to help.
We provide evidence-based resources, workshops and training for young people and those supporting them. We focus on preventing problems and catching them early. We provide our support free of charge but this is only possible with generous donations from our supporters.
Mollys story
These funds will help us make a life-changing difference to young people with mental health problems – people like Molly:
The importance of getting help as early as possible
When Molly showed signs of an eating disorder, her parents were desperate to help. Eating disorders are extremely serious but can be treated most effectively if caught early enough. Services are struggling to meet demand, so our workshops and resources for parents and carers are more vital than ever.
Free webinar – Mental health: starting early, staying well
Wednesday 3 December 12.30 - 2.00pm
This free webinar will explore how to help children and young people build foundations for lifelong wellbeing. It will highlight practical, evidence-based ways of supporting them to make sense of their experiences, feel capable of managing life’s challenges, and connect positively with others.
It will be presented by mental health trainer Natalie Taylor Daodu, Charlie Waller youth ambassador Fatima Ishaq and our parent carer lived experience lead, Nikki Chapman. All are welcome.
Thank you to Julia Rausing Trust
We are hugely grateful to Julia Rausing Trust, our Big Give champion for 2025. Their wonderful generosity means the impact of your donations will be so much greater, enabling us to support the mental health of many more young people in the months and years ahead.
