This session is aimed at anyone supporting or working with a child or young person. It will focus on what emotional wellbeing looks like, how our emotions can impact on behaviour and wellbeing and how we can spot the signs that someone is struggling with their emotional wellbeing.

We will then explore some practical strategies that can support a young person who may be struggling with their emotional wellbeing. In this webinar, we explore:

  • The meaning of emotional wellbeing and link between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours
  • Some of the signs that a child or young person may be struggling with their emotional wellbeing
  • How all behaviour is communication 
  • The relationship between brain development, stress and emotional regulation
  • The role of of emotionally responsive relationships
  • Tools that may help to support a young person who is struggling:

    • Emotional Regulation tips
    • Resources and further support
