As an individual, or a team, set yourself an active challenge and get #Fit4Feb!

We are encouraging you to make the most of each day in February, so why not spread your challenge across all 28 days?

As there are 28 days in February, we are asking you to base your chosen distance on the number 28 ie. you could swim 2.8 miles; walk 28 miles or cycle 280km. You might want to get creative with this and skip, jump or row your chosen distance!?

We are asking each person taking part to pay or raise a minimum of £28. During the registration process you will have the option to pay a £28 donation or to pledge to fundraise a minimum of £28. (Of course, if you would like to donate or raise more, you are very welcome to do so).

How your support can help

£28 pays for 160 copies of our Parent’s Guide to Depression

£100 pays for a peer supporter to help facilitate 4 support group sessions

£280 pays for half a day of mental health training to a school.

Our very own events and fundraising officer, Debs Burles, took on Fit4Feb in 2021. Here is what she and her team had to say about taking part:

Debs – “I organised two groups, one for a walking/running challenge and another for cycling. We all found it a great motivator, especially during the rainy lockdown that we experienced. I created two WhatsApp groups so that we could connect and encourage each other along the way, especially during the cold or rainy spells and I gave regular updates on our mileage totals. The walking/running group even increased our target total to 50 miles! A great challenge, we’ll certainly look forward to it again next year.”

Participation and Fundraising

By registering for a place in the Event you agree with the Charlie Waller Trust (the 'Trust') that you:

  • Will take part in Fit4Feb between Tuesday 1 February 2022 – Monday 28 February 2022
  • Will inform the Trust immediately if you are unable to take part in the Event.
  • Will pay a £28 registration fee (this is non-refundable and non-transferable, once my place has been confirmed and cannot be used towards any sponsorship pledge, if applicable) or pledge to raise £28.
  • Will only use lawful means to fundraise for the Trust and will not do anything that harms or is likely to harm the reputation of the Trust.
  • Agree that Gift Aid payments cannot be counted towards your fundraising pledge and instead will be considered as over and above the pledged fundraising total.
  • Give permission for your name, photograph, feedback and comments to be used free of charge in any future publicity, advertising, fundraising materials and on our social media channels and/or promotion of the Trust.
