Communicating with your teenager – whatever their mood

Key Information

Book now

Workshop by Jenny Langley. This workshop will look at practical ways to help parents and carers communicate with their teenage children. It can be very difficult for parents to communicate with anxious or angry teenagers. Expressions such as “You are not listening, you don’t care, you don’t understand!” are often said by teens to their parents, perhaps followed quickly by a slamming door. Jenny will introduce seven practical tips to help parents and carers to keep lines of communication with their teenagers open at all times.

Since Jenny’s son recovered from anorexia over fifteen years ago, she has worked closely with the Maudsley hospital, she has written Boys Get Anorexia Too and The New Maudsley Training Manual, and she delivers regular workshops for parents based on the New Maudsley Approach.
