Walk for Wellbeing Mount Toubkal Moroccan Challenge

People walking up a mountain

An unmissable opportunity to take part in an incredible challenge in Morocco, in support of the Charlie Waller Trust.

This six-day challenge will begin with an acclimatisation trek. You will then summit Mount Toubkal. Standing at an impressive 4167m, it is the highest Mountain in North Africa.

You will be rewarded with stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains in the north and over the Sahara to the south! This is a fully supported trek with mountain guides, cooks and a Tribal Tracks leader.

Trek for mental health

Join fellow supporters of the Charlie Waller Trust on our second international trekking adventure in Morocco and help us continue our crucial work.

You will trek 100km through dunes, through valleys and stunning oases. You’ll camp under the Saharan skies at night with the full support crew of camels, local desert guides and cooks along the way. The trek loosely follows part of the Marathon des Sables, marked by the little coloured pebbles on the ground.

Summit on 10 September – World Suicide Prevention Day

10 September each year is recognised as World Suicide Prevention Day. This was established in 2003 by the International Association for Suicide Prevention. Its aim is to focus attention on suicide, to reduce stigma and raise awareness about preventing suicide.

We will be aiming to summit Mount Toubkal on Tuesday 10 September 2024.

Stunning surroundings

This incredible challenge will take you on a journey through the Toubkal valley, passing through terraced farmland and Berber villages, where you can immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings.

At the summit, you will be rewarded with views in every direction, from the High Atlas peaks in the north and to the south, the Sahara, rolling far away to the heart of Africa. We will have time to explore Marrakech and its famous Medina, the walled medieval city, with buzzing souks (marketplaces) where we can try a little bartering.
